HotMath is an independent site offering clear K-12 math help. This page explains who we are and how our content is made.
Our story
HotMath started with a tutoring notebook full of the explanations that finally made things click for struggling students. Time after time, the same clear approach turned “I can’t do this” into “oh, that’s easy.” We began writing those explanations down to reach more students than one tutor ever could.
Our mission
Our mission is to make math feel doable for every K-12 student, by explaining it clearly and showing how the right kind of practice builds lasting confidence.
Editorial standards
- Clarity first. If an explanation doesn’t help, we rewrite it.
- Accuracy. Every method is checked before publishing.
- Encouragement. We never talk down to a struggling learner.
How our content is reviewed
Each article is checked for mathematical accuracy and clarity, tested against how real students respond, and updated when we find a clearer way to explain something. Spotted an error? Tell us.
